Editor-in-Chief of Case in Point Magazine and the Case Management Resource Guide
I am thrilled to share some exciting news with you. Last month, Case In Point magazine won two awards that recognized it for publication excellence. This was exciting news for the staff that produces Case In Point because it showed that our publication stood out among more than 3,785 entries spanning the publishing industry.
The recognition came from the APEX 2009 Awards for Publication Excellence Competition, a contest that judges a publication’s overall communications effectiveness and excellence. For the second consecutive year, Case In Point was recognized for publication excellence in the area of magazine and journal writing. This is a tribute to the editorial team, whose members work tirelessly to bring cutting-edge information to case management professionals. (Read the press release here.)
The second award for publication excellence covered the area of magazine and journal design and layout. This award is a testimony to the talent of Claire Burke, the Creative Arts Director who was responsible for the look and feel of Case In Point. Claire recently left our organization, and we would like to publicly thank her for her creativity and dedication to her craft. Claire had been the Creative Arts Director since the inception of Case In Point and was responsible for its evolution from its earliest days as a newsletter to the present incarnation that case managers enjoy reading and responding to. All of us at Dorland Health wish Claire the best of luck as she sets out on new endeavors.
Another milestone I would like to share is that Dorland Health, the publisher of Case In Point, Case In Point Weekly, the Case Management Resource Guide, and the National Directory of Children, Youth & Families Services was recently acquired by Access Intelligence, a highly recognized name in the publishing industry. With the Dorland Health acquisition, Access Intelligence will add health care to its already strong and diverse portfolio.
The entire Dorland staff is excited to be part of Access Intelligence and is looking forward to tapping into the expertise and resources this leading company has developed which will allow us to continue to bring you cutting-edge information and educational activities to assist you in coordinating care and changing lives.
Thank you for being such a large part of our success. We continue to look forward to your input and suggestions to ensure that we meet you professionals needs so you can be the best that you can be!
Have a great week!
